Job summary

Perlick is seeking a Product Development Engineer to own the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of residential and light commercial refrigeration equipment. You will lead system architecture, component selection, performance optimization, and production launch, applying thermodynamics and controls integration.

You will model performance, conduct DFMEA, create tests, and prepare drawings in SolidWorks, while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Two or more years’ product development experience in fractional horsepower vapor compression refrigeration equipment.
• United States work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and improve refrigeration equipment from concept to production launch.
• Lead DFMEA, tolerance analyses, and risk assessments.
• Create test plans and coordinate lab testing.
• Develop 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks; coordinate with suppliers.
• Perform thermodynamic and heat transfer analyses and modeling.
• Travel to suppliers and manufacturing plants as needed.
