Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is required.
• Master’s degree or PhD in polymers, plastics, chemistry, materials is preferred.
• Strong understanding of polymers, resins, and polymer processing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the qualification and evaluation of new resin and polymer materials.
• Respond quickly to resin, polymer, and material-performance issues on production.
• Identify potential causes when polymers or resin materials are not performing as expected.
• Participate in production-line trials and understand how resin and polymer properties affect manufacturing performance.
• Work closely with Plant Engineering, Operations, R&D, and Production teams to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Assist with both the formulation and processing aspects of polymer materials.
• Evaluate material behavior and recommend potential solutions to production or processing problems.
• Provide technical support to plant personnel regarding resin and polymer performance.
• Maintain a regular presence within the production environment.
