Job summary

Accelevation LLC is seeking a Quality Test Associate in Richmond, VA to ensure safety, quality, and performance of UL 891 switchboards and power distribution equipment. You will perform mechanical and electrical testing, maintain test records, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
Experience in electrical testing, QA, manufacturing or power distribution equipment preferred.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs.
Knowledge of UL 891, NEC, IEEE or related standards preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and mechanical inspections of switchboard assemblies, including placement, clearances, enclosure integrity, grounding, torque checks, and workmanship.
Verify compliance with UL 891 construction requirements and customer specs.
Conduct electrical testing using specialized equipment: Hi-Pot, insulation resistance, continuity, grounding tests.
Perform FAT and production-line tests; document results and certify test records.
Identify, document, and report quality issues; collaborate on corrective actions.
