Job summary

Accelevation is seeking an Electrical Product Engineer Intern to contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of our electrical power distribution products, including UL 891 switchboards, PDUs, RPPs, and transfer switch systems.

You will gain hands-on experience working with engineers, manufacturing leaders, and project managers on meaningful projects with real deadlines and real impact, in our Southwest Ohio manufacturing center and data-center environments.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Completed at least three years of undergraduate study prior to internship.
  • Strong interest in electrical power systems and product engineering.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in design and development of low-voltage power distribution equipment and electrical assemblies.
  • Support creation and maintenance of schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
  • Participate in product testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
  • Assist engineering teams with design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address production challenges and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Support compliance with UL, NEC, NEMA and other standards.
  • Conduct engineering research, data analysis, and technical evaluations for product enhancements.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve reliability, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions throughout the lifecycle.
