Job summary
Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Quality Engineer in Milpitas, CA for a full-time, onsite role. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering in EMS/contract manufacturing.
- Experience with PCBA, box build, electronic assembly, or high-volume manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Support production and NPI activities to ensure product quality and manufacturing readiness.
- Lead investigations using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Failure Analysis methods.
- Drive CAPA programs and verify effectiveness.
- Monitor FPY, DPPM, scrap, rework, Cp/Cpk, and customer quality metrics.
- Support customer complaint investigations and RMAs.
- Develop and improve quality documentation (inspection standards, control plans, work instructions).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Test Engineering, Supply Chain, and customers to drive improvements.
- Conduct process and product audits to ensure quality system compliance.
- Support supplier quality improvement and supplier corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality and cost.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001.
