Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a motivated intern for the Quality and Engineering Team. This on-site role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will assist Production Engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help design fixturing, tooling, and floor layouts while observing and learning from shop floor activities.

Qualifications

• Current student (sophomore, junior, or senior) pursuing a bachelor’s in manufacturing/mechanical engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Passionate with a desire to contribute and make an impact.
• Demonstrated integrity and respectful interaction with others, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ability to take ownership and follow through on tasks.
• Familiarity with applicable laws, policies, regulations, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Engineers by contributing to project execution and daily operational tasks.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sustaining Engineering, and Production Supervisors to advance project goals.
• Design and develop fixturing and tooling solutions to enhance production cell efficiency.
• Create and revise factory floor layouts to optimize space and workflow.
• Engage with production cells and operators to observe, learn, and support operations.
• Analyze cycle times to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
• Measure and document improvements to validate impact and support continuous improvement.
• Take on other projects and duties as assigned by the Quality and Engineering Manager.
