Job summary

Legacy Placement Partners is seeking a Quality Engineer Analyst in Kansas City to read engineering drawings, interpret GD&T, and verify product quality with calipers, micrometers, and CMMs on the shop floor. The role emphasizes hands-on inspection, solving manufacturing quality problems, and helping lead an onsite quality team.

Aerospace experience is a plus, and a related degree is preferred. You’ll contribute to the Quality Management System and lead continuous improvement initiatives using

Qualifications

3–5 years of manufacturing quality engineering experience
Experience with calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and related software
Engineering drawing and GD&T proficiency
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120, or ISO 13485
Experience with quality audits, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
Strong communication skills to work with production teams, suppliers, and customers

Responsibilities

Improve the Quality Management System
Develop inspection plans
Perform AS9102 first article inspections
Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methods
