Job summary

Dynamic NC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in Kansas. The role focuses on inspection of parts for compliance with customer requirements and completing First Article Inspection reports to AS9102 and customer specs.

You will lead internal and external audits, perform root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, FMEA), develop training and work instructions, and support source inspection activities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in aircraft industry in Quality Engineering position.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to read aerospace BOMs, drawings, and customer specs.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for compliance to Customer requirements.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102 and Customer requirements.
• Prepare paperwork and Parts for Source Inspection.
• Communicate with Customer Source Inspectors & Customer Supplier Quality Representatives to include, but not limited to supporting product sourcing, RCCA completion, audits and reporting requirements.
• Perform Root Cause Corrective Action analysis using customer and internal tools (i.e. 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, etc.).
• Develop training, visual aids and work instructions as needed.
• Lead and/or assist with external audits (i.e. Customer, AS9100, etc.).
• Perform Internal Audits as assigned.
• Attend Department and Company Meetings.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Dynamic NC Quality Management System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and protective equipment as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• High school diploma / GED.
• 5+ years in aircraft industry in Quality Engineering position.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organized, focused, and results-oriented.
• Excellent problem solving and prioritizing ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace bill of materials, engineering drawings, customer specifications and instructions.
• Has capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable inspections by asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem.
• Knowledge of CATIA and other CAD/CAM software.
• Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
• Able to use measuring instruments including but not limited to micrometer, calipers, height gage, countersink gage, rivet gage, etc.
