Job summary

Quality, Continuous Improvement & Government Property Engineer at Fisica, Inc. is a hands-on role based in San Leandro, CA, focusing on driving end-to-end product quality and operational excellence in a defense-focused environment.

You will lead RCCA, CAPA, FAI activities, and lean initiatives, ensuring FAR/DFARS compliance and proper government property management across lifecycle. The position collaborates with manufacturing, QA, and program management to deliver robust quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 2–4+ years in aerospace/defense or precision manufacturing.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 and AS9102 FAI.
• Knowledge of FAR 52.245-1 and GFP/GFE/CAP management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality and government property programs.
• Manage RCCA/8D, CAPA processes and 5 Whys / Ishikawa analyses.
• Coordinate FAI planning and execution for NPI and design changes.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce COPQ and improve OEE.
• Maintain GFP/CAP controls and property records across lifecycle.
