Job summary

RTX Integrated Defense Systems MCVC at White Sands, NM is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join the Mission Assurance Team onsite. You will perform quality inspections across program lifecycles, coordinate calibration, and work with mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic assemblies.

This role requires an active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and 6 years of relevant experience with either an Associate’s degree or more, plus familiarity with DoD quality standards and

Qualifications

• Typically requires an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma and eight (8) years relevant experience.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar quality inspection capacity.
• Working experience inspecting complex and non-complex circuit cards, cables, mechanical, and/or system level equipment.
• Working experience with inspection and/or test equipment (i.e., Microscopes, Calipers, Gauge Blocks, and/or Digital Multi-Meter).
• Work experience in aerospace or defense quality assurance.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection of items throughout program life cycles from incoming, in process, and final inspection of components and assemblies.
• Coordinate calibration and check on various items.
• Work with mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic material and assemblies.
• Perform quality inspections, test verifications and process validations to support radar and missile programs.
• Capture quality data and prepare reports on metrics and results; help resolve nonconformances.
• Interface with teams and customer to achieve objectives.
• Track and report progress of products through life cycle and support materials/tools.
