Job summary

Copper River Data Solutions seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide onsite QA support for UMCS, BAS, ESS and related facility systems at Fort Detrick, MD. You will work with facility management, project teams, laboratory staff, infection control and safety personnel, and Government representatives to ensure compliance with codes and biosafety standards.

The role requires an Active Secret clearance, 10+ years in high-containment facilities, and a technical degree.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field (engineering).
• Minimum 10 years in high-containment medical research facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite quality assurance support for procurement, installation, repair, replacement, and construction of UMCS, BAS, ESS, and related facility systems.
• Evaluate project schedules and perform technical and project documentation reviews to support successful project execution.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Facility Manager, Project Manager, facilities staff, and other stakeholders.
• Attend project and operational meetings in support of operations, repair, maintenance, and construction programs.
• Provide weekly oral status updates and communicate progress, issues, risks to Government officials.
• Maintain availability to support ongoing project issues and quality concerns requiring immediate attention.
• Ensure project activities conform to codes, standards, and agency requirements including NFPA, BMBL, AAALAC, CDC biosafety standards.
• Conduct field surveys to evaluate facility layouts, conditions, equipment, and systems and identify potential impacts.
• Provide project updates and QA documentation to COR and Government officials.
• Coordinate with infection control, safety, and laboratory personnel to meet requirements.
