Job summary

Simformotion LLC is seeking a Software Quality Automation Engineer to strengthen the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our simulator and software products. You will build automated testing frameworks, improve test coverage, and leverage AI-assisted tools to optimize test design and execution.

The role requires 3+ years in QA, experience with automation tooling, and collaboration across agile teams. This onsite position in East Peoria, IL offers a salary range of $70,000 to $105,000 and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and testing
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques and QA best practices
• Experience developing or contributing to automated testing solutions/frameworks
• Ability to identify manual processes and translate them into scalable automation
• Familiarity with test lifecycle management and automation architectures

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios
• Expand and improve test coverage within PractiTest and other tools
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions and frameworks
• Help establish automation strategies, standards, and best practices
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design and maintenance
• Validate desktop applications, simulator software, and hardware integrations
• Track defects using Jira and document QA processes in Confluence
• Collaborate with developers, testers, designers, and Product Manager throughout development lifecycle
• Continuously improve quality and automation coverage to increase release velocity
