Job summary

PPG Industries’ Aerospace Business in Mojave, CA is seeking a Process Safety Management Engineer to lead world‑class process safety initiatives that protect people, optimize operations, and advance sustainable manufacturing.

As PSM Engineer, you will implement and run the Mojave site’s program, report to the Operations Manager, ensure OSHA PSM compliance, develop training, and collaborate across the organization to reduce risk and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Process Safety Management in manufacturing/chemical plants.
• Understanding of OSHA PSM regulations.
• Knowledge of process hazard analyses and risk assessment methodologies.
• Effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
• Eligibility: U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or asylees/refugees.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mojave site PSM program and drive continuous improvements.
• Facilitate PSM leadership meetings and track indicators.
• Ensure communication of MOC, PHA, operating limits, and safety elements.
• Develop employee training to enhance process safety capabilities.
• Assist with integration of new projects from a PSM perspective.
• Advise plant management on risk and mitigation.
• Coordinate action plans and loss prevention improvements.
