Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in Tyler, TX, is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join The Finley onsite team. The role supports the Property Manager in daily operations, leasing, occupancy, and resident services, with leadership duties in the manager's absence.

You will collaborate on leasing efforts, process applications, manage resident accounts, and help drive financial and service performance at the community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of onsite multifamily property-management or leasing experience.
• Experience as an Assistant Property Manager, Assistant Community Manager, Leasing Manager, or senior leasing role.
• Experience with resident accounts, collections and delinquency management.
• Understanding of leasing cycle from prospect through move-in and renewal.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and industry best practices.
• Strong customer-service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, vendors and team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working with numbers, reports and financial information.
• High school diploma or equivalent; onsite schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Property Manager in day-to-day operation and performance.
• Manage resident accounts, rent collection, delinquency follow-up and notices.
• Maintain accurate ledgers, files and documentation.
• Assist with move-ins, renewals and resident transfers.
• Support lease enforcement and renewal efforts.
• Build resident relationships and resolve questions and service issues.
• Assist with leasing by responding to prospects, tours and leads.
• Review applications and leasing documents for accuracy.
• Monitor occupancy and leasing activity; assist with reporting.
• Walk the community and coordinate with maintenance to meet ONYX standards.
• Support marketing and resident-engagement initiatives.
• Serve as onsite leader in Property Manager's absence.
• Follow Fair Housing and ONYX policies.
