Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include handling resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, making-ready tasks, inventory tracking, and coordinating with vendors. A proactive, independent, and team‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• May be required to hold various certifications (e.g. HVAC) and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
• Tracks inventory and coordinates materials, tools, and vendors as needed.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing instead of replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Follows safety policies and participates in safety trainings and meetings.
• Inspects work by contractors and vendors to ensure quality and scope compliance.
• Performs routine property inspections and communicates needs to management.
• Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
