Job summary

Gateway Management Company in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the community to keep common areas safe, clean, and well maintained.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of maintenance experience, basic plumbing/electrical skills, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication for resident, vendor, and management coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year general maintenance experience, HOA/construction preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall repair.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to common areas, buildings, amenities.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
• Complete work orders in a timely, professional manner.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and after-hours calls when required.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and report replenishment.
• Document completed work and report findings to management.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas.
