Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a property management role in Simsbury, CT. The position oversees maintenance operations, including preventive and emergency work, make-readies, and turnover of apartments, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The candidate should have 3+ years in property maintenance, leadership experience, and extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property maintenance or related experience.
• Experience leading and supervising maintenance staff.
• Experience with multifamily or residential property maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and building systems.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week; not remote or hybrid.
• Ability to meet driving requirements and travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including hiring and scheduling.
• Oversee work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain safety, appearance, and functionality of properties.
• Diagnose repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Coordinate make-readies, turnover, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain records and manage inventory and shop area.
