Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC in Midland, TX is seeking a Project Quality Lead – CWI Inspector to direct on-site welding quality operations. You will act as the technical authority for welding quality, ensuring full conformity with ASME codes and client specifications throughout fabrication and turnover.

You will lead QA activities, review WPS/PQR/WPQ/WQR, manage NCRs, coordinate corrective actions, and interface with client representatives and third-party inspectors during audits and handovers.

Qualifications

• Active AWS CWI credential is required.
• 10+ years in welding inspection or related QC/fabrication quality management.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes (Section VIII, IX, B31.3).
• Proven ability to draft detailed technical reports and client-facing documentation.
• Willingness to work 50–55 hours per week on-site in Midland, TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site welding inspections and ensure code compliance.
• Audit WPS/PQR/WPQ/WQR for code conformity before work commences.
• Lead daily QA activities, investigate NCRs, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Serve as on-site liaison with client representatives, inspectors, and engineering teams.
• Compile MDRs, MTRs, and turnover documentation for client handover.
