Job summary

Abhe- is seeking an Onsite Project Manager for the JF Costello Dam area near Modoc, IL. The role reports to the Operations Manager and works with the onsite Superintendent and Site Safety Officer to lead QC/QA on USACE projects on site.

Responsibilities include maintaining the QCP, implementing the Three-Phase QC system, coordinating third-party testing, and preparing daily QC reports. A CQM-C certificate or ability to obtain, 5 years of construction management experience, and a relevant degree

Qualifications

• USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certificate or ability to obtain
• Five years of related construction management experience, preferably past USACE projects
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
• Experience with USACE RMS 3 software, or ability to learn
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), preferred
• AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2), preferred
• Ability to interface effectively with project supervision, safety personnel, management, Government Personnel, and production personnel
• Ability to read and interpret contract specifications and shop drawings

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) in compliance with USACE requirements
• Implement and manage the Three-Phase Quality Control System (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up inspections) for all major work features
• Conduct and document QC meetings with USACE, subcontractors, and project staff
• Prepare and submit daily QC reports, material submittals, test reports, and other required deliverables
• Coordinate third-party testing and inspections, ensuring timely submission and resolution of non-conformances
• Perform QC Inspections (Welding, Coatings), as qualified
• Verify compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and USACE standards
• Serve as the primary quality liaison with USACE and other stakeholders, addressing and resolving quality issues
• Manage QA/QC documentation and maintain current records
• Prevent and correct deficiencies by identifying non-conformance issues, generating reports, and following up on corrective actions
• Read and understand codes and requirements for Welding, Blasting & Painting
• Verify dimensions of product or material to match shop drawings and field conditions
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and confer with site management or engineering staff to determine quality standards
