Job summary

Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC in Ord, NE is seeking a Project Manager to own the delivery of all plant projects from maintenance to large capital initiatives. You will manage budgets, schedules, scope and contractor performance to ensure projects land on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate has hands-on project controls experience, strong cost management skills, and a drive to grow and lead larger teams within a renewable-energy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Scheduling, cost tracking and project controls experience for industrial projects.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and building a business case.
• Experience writing bid packages, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from small to large.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant projects from start to finish including capital, construction and shutdown projects.
• Define scope, develop cost estimates, prepare business cases for approval.
• Build and manage budgets and schedules, track costs and report status.
• Run formal change control to prevent scope creep and keep projects on budget.
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with vendors.
• Oversee on-site contractors ensuring safety, quality, cost and schedule.
• Identify project risks and enforce safety requirements (MOC, PSR).
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance and Accounting to minimize production impact.
• Close out projects with commissioning, final costs and updated drawings.
