Job summary

Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead plant projects from inception through completion. You will own scope, budgets, schedules, and vendor contracts, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across maintenance, process improvements, and capital initiatives.

The role emphasizes strong business sense, leadership of cross-functional teams, and the ability to balance safety, cost, and schedule while supporting annual capital planning and growth

Qualifications

• Experience delivering industrial projects on budget, on schedule and on scope.
• Minimum 3 years of project management in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience with projects over $1M preferred; $10M a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant projects from start to finish, including capital, construction, equipment installation, process improvement, and shutdown/outage projects.
• Define project scope, develop cost estimates, and prepare business cases for management approval.
• Build and manage project budgets and schedules, tracking costs and progress and reporting status to leadership.
• Lead change control to prevent scope creep and keep projects on budget and schedule.
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and network with contractors/vendors.
• Oversee contractors on site and ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Accounting to minimize production impact and ensure reliability of new equipment.
• Close out projects with commissioning, final costs, updated drawings, and handover to Maintenance/Operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams and support annual capital planning and cost-reduction efforts.
