Job summary

Volt in Spokane, WA is seeking a Project Manager for a full-time, on-site role (3 days a week in Spokane). The position focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering and construction projects with budgets up to $1,000,000.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in management/coordinator roles, an engineering degree preferred, strong communication, and experience with scheduling, contracts, and documentation control. Pay rate is $55.00–$70.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree highly preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in management/coordinator roles handling scope, schedule, budget and business cases.
• Proficient in processing and managing records for construction and engineering.
• Experienced in contract management and compliance.
• Experience in setup, startup and commissioning, closeout and archiving.
• Proficient in managing document controls, including Submittals and RFIs.
• Ability to run productive and concise meetings.
• Ability to utilize scheduling software to monitor and manage schedules (Microsoft).

Responsibilities

• Assist, coordinate, and manage planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering and construction projects.
• Support engineers in developing project charters, scope, objectives, budgets, and business cases.
• Help develop detailed work plans including schedule, cost plans, resources, contingency, and communication plans.
• Maintain project documentation control and monitor performance against scope, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate vendor tasks and review vendor deliverables.
• Facilitate contract administration for routine/low-risk projects.
• Assist in developing project strategy and business cases.
• Adjust project scope, timing, and budgets as needed.
• Communicate project strategy and direction.
• Track milestones, performance, and suggest adjustments.
• Assist in creating/tracking budgets.
• May participate in negotiations with guidance.
• Typical project values range from $500,000 to over $1,000,000.
• Support tracking deliverables and closeout activities.
• Coordinate invoice coding and pay applications upon approval.
