Job summary

Hoyle Tanner is seeking a motivated Resident Project Representative to serve as the on-site representative for construction projects in our New England Municipal Engineering Division. This role, based in Manchester, NH or Portsmouth, NH, involves monitoring activities, documenting progress, and verifying compliance with plans and specifications.

You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients, performing field observations, reporting issues, conducting simple material

Qualifications

Associates/ BSCE or related field required.
Certification or ability to become certified in OSHA 10 Construction and Confined Space for Construction, or HAZWOPER.
5–15 years of construction/inspection experience.
Ability to read and decipher plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

Field observation and inspection of infrastructure projects under supervision.
Record site observations in daily reports and report issues to supervisory personnel.
Read and understand contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and special provisions.
Conduct simple field testing of construction materials and report results.
Produce simple drawings, tracings, maps, and technical computations.
Use transit level, rotary laser, GPS to measure and verify quantities.
