Hoyle Tanner is seeking a motivated Resident Project Representative to serve as the on-site representative for construction projects in our New England Municipal Engineering Division, based out of our Manchester, NH or Portsmouth, NH offices.

Qualifications

Associates or BSCE in a related field.
OSHA 10 Construction and Confined Space certification (or ability to obtain)
5–15 years of construction/inspection experience
Ability to read and decipher plans and specifications

Responsibilities

Field observation and inspection under the supervision of a Project Manager/Contract Administrator/Senior Resident Engineer.
Record site observations and report issues and discrepancies to supervisory personnel.
Read and understand contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and special provisions.
Conduct simple field testing of construction materials and report results.
Produce simple drawings, tracings, maps, and computations to describe observed operations.
Use transit level, rotary laser, GPS or other tools to measure and verify quantities.
Coordinate with client and contractor to resolve discrepancies or construction issues.
Document observed field conditions and understand project schedule and sequence of activities.
Process contractor progress payments for review by supervisory personnel.
Coordinate inspection of materials and have a general understanding of test methods and interpretation of results.
Develop understanding of project budget and provide updates to supervisor.
