Job summary

Align Builders, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for our Special Projects Division in Irvine, CA. You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent on complex commercial projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, owners, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (preferred) and 1–3 years of experience in construction. Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or engineering preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience as a construction Project Engineer.
• Experience in commercial construction, healthcare (OSHPD) or life sciences helpful.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent on complex projects.
• Provide field with critical information to keep schedule on track.
• Interpret plans, specs, and codes.
• Support Project Superintendent to ensure work complies with design and specs.
• Assist in site logistics and project setup.
• Lead RFIs, submittals, and procurement processes.
• Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, Owners, Subcontractors and field staff.
• Assist in cost management and reporting.
• Plan and document weekly meetings and minutes.
• Manage subcontractors and change orders.
• Maintain project logs and progress reports.
• Maintain Procore and document/drawing management.
• Assist in CPM updates and scheduling.
• Lead closeout including owner training, punch-list and as-builts.
