Job summary

Kirby Risk Service Center in Lafayette, IN seeks a Project Engineer to support customers and resolve manufacturing issues. You will assist in design, assembly, and production readiness of new products, applying Lean Manufacturing and QS practices to ensure quality and repeatability.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field, adeptness with blueprints, CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred), strong communication, and ability to build customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical field.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Proficient in MS Office; CAD or wire harness software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to customers in design, assembly, and manufacturing of new products.
• Prepare products for production using Lean Manufacturing and QS to maintain quality and repeatability.
• Communicate with leadership, internal and external customers; build customer relationships.
• Create product visuals and work instructions for production teams; write specifications for pre-production.
• Support production during new builds and assist with customer feedback and opportunities.
