Job summary

Kirby Risk Service Center in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Quality Specialist to support production through inspections, training, and documentation.

You will perform data entry for reporting, train the Quality System per SOP and ISO9001:2015, and drive quality improvements across raw and finished goods; collaborate with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• College degree in a technical field or equivalent
• 3+ years ISO/QS or equivalent work experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry to support reporting requirements for accurate correspondence with customers and vendors
• Conduct training of the Quality System for production associates in accordance with SOP, customer specifications, and 5S, in alignment with ISO9001:2015
• Improve quality through inspection of raw and finished goods to reduce past-due shipments
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on quality improvement initiatives internally and externally
• Provide reports and analysis of Non-Conforming Materials (NCM) including root cause and corrective action
• Comprehend, interpret, and analyze prints and specifications accurately for all product lines
• Engage with the quality team on continuous improvement of quality systems and plant initiatives
