Job summary

Ledcor is expanding its Heavy Civil Earthworks team and seeks a driven Project Controls Coordinator to be at the center of project execution. This site-based role requires travel to project locations across the United States and collaboration with field leadership to ensure accurate cost tracking, schedule performance, progress measurement, and documentation.

You will be embedded with onsite teams, providing real-time project controls support to keep operations aligned and moving forward.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in project controls, field engineering, or project coordination in heavy civil construction.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; scheduling tools such as Primavera.
• Experience with planning software and 3D model viewers and document management platforms.
• Strong communication; ability to coordinate with field teams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of cost coding, RFIs, change orders, subcontractor coordination, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specs to support field teams and validate cost and schedule impacts.
• Perform quantity calculations and track progress for cost and schedule reporting.
• Develop construction work packages, activity plans, and project controls documentation.
• Support field surveying and layout by capturing quantity and progress data.
• Compile and reconcile daily labor timesheets and equipment reports.
• Contribute to safety reviews and site safety meetings.
• Coordinate materials tracking, delivery schedules, and receipt verification.
• Assist with work planning to align crews and subcontractors with the schedule.
• Provide project controls oversight, including subcontractor coordination and cost codes.
