Job summary

CFS in East Vancouver, WA is seeking a Project Accountant to join a fully onsite team. You will track labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and overhead costs against project budgets, and prepare progress billings and owner pay applications.

Responsibilities include supporting change orders, handling subcontractor invoices, and assisting with WIP reporting, forecasting, and project profitability analysis while collaborating with Project Managers on budgets and financial performance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting in the construction industry.
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, or construction financial reporting.
• Knowledge of progress billing, WIP schedules, and project cost tracking.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Track labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and overhead costs against project budgets.
• Prepare progress billings, owner pay applications, and support change order tracking.
• Process subcontractor and vendor invoices with complete documentation.
• Assist with Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and project financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor budgets and financial performance throughout project lifecycles.
