Job summary

Velocity is seeking a Production Planner – Production Control to develop and own the executable master and rolling production schedules for Velocity vehicles. You will translate the approved plan into labor loading, material readiness, and manufacturing orders, coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, and Finance to keep the schedule realistic and on track.

The role requires building build-to-stock and build-to-order MOs, using internal routing data and standard hours, and ensuring timely MO

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build a scheduling process where none existed previously.
• Strong station-level capacity analysis and constraint management.
• Experience issuing and closing manufacturing orders, multilevel BOMs, routings, build-to-stock component orders, and outside processing in an ERP/MRP system (Fishbowl, NetSuite, or comparable).
• Advanced Excel and credible reporting/BI skills; comfort with dashboards and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a 12‑month rolling schedule by vehicle, model, options, milestones, and station flow.
• Maintain an 8–12‑week finite-capacity lookahead and a 1–2‑week execution schedule; publish weekly frozen plan.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend sequencing, overtime, or staffing changes.
• Walk the floor daily to reconcile scheduled vs. actual status and escalate gaps.
