Job summary

ABB is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the site maintenance team at the Pinetops, NC facility. The role focuses on responding to emergencies, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring production equipment operates within specification.

You will work onsite, follow maintenance guidelines, and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to improve reliability and uptime across the line. A hands-on problem-solver with experience in manufacturing is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of planned maintenance and backlog.
• Specialist technical and engineering skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; US work authorization.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform safety-conscious tasks.
• Lift up to 40 lbs and operate at height as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and equipment breakdowns.
• Report recurring problems with machinery and equipment.
• Document problems with parts for records.
• Set calibration and adjust equipment to specs; maintain safety.
