Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking a Procurement & Supply Specialist 2 to manage on-site dietary warehouse operations at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center in Shoreline, WA. The role plans, coordinates, and performs procurement of services, supplies, and equipment to support dietary warehousing and other operations, with 100% on-site work.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience as a purchasing professional.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, procurement, logistics, supply management or closely allied field.
• Or an AA in Purchasing Management/Business Administration with two years of full-time purchasing experience.
• Or two years of experience as a Procurement and Supply Specialist 1; full-time purchasing experience substitutes on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, warehousing, and distribution of dietary products and supplies per laws and agency policies.
• Receive deliveries, verify quantities, coordinate distribution across the facility.
• Complete cycle counts and other inventory activities.
• Maintain purchasing records and forward documentation for vendor payments.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safely stocked.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
