Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is offering an internship at the Giant Resource Recovery (GRR) facility in South Carolina. You will support process improvement initiatives, collect and analyze data, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize production.

The role requires currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering fields, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication and collaboration across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support process improvement initiatives to boost plant efficiency and reliability.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering on optimization projects.
• Help troubleshoot process issues and develop data-driven solutions.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations communicating findings.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
