Advantage Technical is seeking a Process/Manufacturing Engineer for an on-site role in Westminster, MD. You will support Battery Design Engineers and production, ensure manufacturability with high quality, and drive cost-reduction projects while maintaining clear documentation. The role requires a B.S.

in Engineering with 3–5 years in an engineering or manufacturing environment and Six Sigma certification. Expect collaboration across Operations, Facilities, and Design teams to bring new designs

Responsibilities

• Supports Battery Design Engineers and production teams.
• Ensures processes are manufacturable with high quality and documented for Operations.
• Implements continuous process improvement projects targeting cost reduction or output increase.
• Creates and maintains work instructions and SOPs.
• Trains shopfloor personnel with Operations.
• Identifies and implements equipment upgrades with facilities/maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and documents process, performance and equipment issues.
• Conducts RCCA investigations for manufacturing/process issues.
• Collaborates with Battery Design and Mechanical Engineering to transfer designs to production.
• Monitors KPIs and supports manufacturability of proposed designs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• This role supports the Battery Design Engineers as well as production support.
• Ensures processes are manufacturable with high quality and provide appropriate documentation and tools to the Operations team.
• Implements continuous process improvement projects focusing on cost reduction or output increase.
• Create and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Works with Operations to train shopfloor employees.
• Works with facilities and maintenance team to identify and implement equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoots, solves and documents process, performance and equipment issues.
• Conducts RCCA investigations for manufacturing/process issues.
• Works with Battery Design and Mechanical Engineering to transfer new designs from development to production.
• Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Supports the proposed battery design process to ensure manufacturability.
• Other duties as assigned

• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
• Proficient in solving engineering problems through analysis, computational modelling, and building/testing of prototypes.
• Experience with PLC or similar equipment programming
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• CAD modelling a plus
