Job summary

Experitec is seeking a Process Automation Engineer I or II onsite in Decatur, IL to join our Engineering Services team. You will rotate across engineering groups, support commissioning, and help customers optimize DeltaV-based control systems while gaining hands-on experience at client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs.
• Ability to work on client sites Monday–Friday 8am-5pm with on-call rotation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of DeltaV or PLC applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform operator and maintenance training.
• Install and commission process control equipment and startups.
• Configure and program automation systems (DeltaV/PLC).
• Assist with system upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers.
