Job summary
Cencora in Sterling, Illinois, seeks a PRN Staff Pharmacist to join our ambulatory pharmacy team. You will evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications, verify prescriptions, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting business goals and marketing events.
The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy with an active license, 1–3 years retail/ambulatory experience, and strong knowledge of drug interactions. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation.
Qualifications
- Pharmacist degree from an accredited school; current, unrestricted license.
- 1–3 years retail/ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred.
- Business/sales/IT knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications per standards and laws.
- Provide excellent customer service and clinical care.
- Interact with patients to address questions about therapy.
- Review patient plans for therapeutic appropriateness.
- Consult with prescribers on care plans.
- Support ambulatory pharmacy metrics and marketing events.
