Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking a journey-level Project Engineer in Auburn, CA. This role provides full engineering and project management support to O&M staff for moderately complex capital and expense improvements to power generation and infrastructure facilities.

Requires a 4-year engineering degree, a California PE license (or eligibility and 18-month pathway), and PMI PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

4-year BS in Engineering from an accredited US program.
CA Professional Engineer license required (or must obtain CA license within 18 months if licensed elsewhere).
Minimum of 3 years of cumulative experience in project engineering, design and construction.
PMI PMP certification preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead design and/or project management for moderately complex generation projects.
Provide broad technical support to O&M including incident investigations and corrective actions.
Control scope, schedule, cost, and quality across project life cycle; coordinate stakeholders.
Prepare and evaluate contracts and proposals from engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and construction firms; review technical submittals.
Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and regulators as required.
