Mutual Housing Management is seeking an Onsite Porter in Sacramento to maintain cleanliness and curb appeal in a Permanent Supportive Housing community. Responsibilities include cleaning lobby, common areas, and bathrooms; assisting with unit turns; and supporting daily property operations.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains entry lobby and common areas daily.
• Maintains laundry, community, conference rooms, and offices.
• Clean community bathrooms and stairways regularly.
• Perform unit turns and minor work orders as assigned.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor and support day-to-day operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of parking areas and grounds; assist residents respectfully.

Position: Onsite Porter

Location: Cornerstone, 4550 Le Donne Dr, Sacramento, CA 95814

Hours: Full Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Compensation: $22 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary:

The On-Site Porter is an entry-level position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, curb appeal, and overall appearance of a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Tax Credit community. Duties include cleaning common areas, maintaining grounds, removing trash and debris, assisting with unit turns, and supporting the property's day-to-day operations. This position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in affordable housing maintenance, with hands‑on training and exposure to basic maintenance tasks under the guidance of experienced maintenance staff. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service oriented, and eager to learn and develop maintenance skills while contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming community for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans and maintains entry lobby, including cleaning of windows, doors, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, etc., daily, and more if necessary to maintain excellent entrance appeal.
• Cleans laundry room, community room, conference room, and management offices daily.
• Cleans community bathrooms daily, more to maintain in a sanitary manner.
• Cleans stairways and elevators on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Does cleaning of units, including stoves, refrigerators, bathrooms, floors, windows, etc. if necessary
• Reports all maintenance repairs needed to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Sweeps and cleans parking lot on daily basis.
• Picks up trash from grounds.
• Ensures garbage enclosures are picked up and cleaned daily.
• Uses hose/pressure washer to clean walkways and buildings when necessary.
• Changes all light bulbs in hallways and common areas.
• Does minor work orders for residents and/or management as assigned by Property Manager.
• Respect the confidentiality of resident information.

Required Qualifications:
