Job summary

Mutual Housing Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service Greenway & Glen Ellen in Sacramento, CA. You will handle janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and turnovers, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role requires at least two years of apartment maintenance experience, teamwork, and adaptable scheduling. Compensation includes housing and full benefits; standard hours are Monday–Friday, with on-call availability as

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders timely and accurately; clean up after tasks.
• Perform property repairs including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical; use provided tools.
• Clean apartments during turnover and maintain grounds and common areas.
• Provide on-call maintenance support and respond to emergencies.
• Keep residents and the Property Manager informed of schedules and progress.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and assist with budget considerations.

Position: Maintenance Technician - Greenway & Glen Ellen

Location: Sacramento, CA 95824

Hours: Full Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Compensation: $23.52-25.53 per hour, depending on experience. 2 Bedroom onsite housing is included as part of the compensation package and requires residency in the community.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician completes janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, repairs, and apartment turnovers. As a part of the site team, this position is responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment.

Responsibilities:

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical. MHM provides all tools needed for this position.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including lawns and flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, and trash pickup.
• Provides on-call maintenance service, as directed. Responds to emergencies, as required.
• Sets up conference room and community space, as needed.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Advises Property Manager on the overall condition of the property.
• Keeps Property Manager and residents informed of scheduling and progress of maintenance work orders and scheduled physical improvements under tech’s purview.
• Monitors maintenance budget and recommend revisions to budgets and advise supervisor when there are budget concerns.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of site vendors for landscape maintenance and other maintenance issues.
• Respect the confidentiality of resident information.

• Learn how to input maintenance work orders and other information into computer programs.
