Job summary

Energy Systems Group is seeking a Plant Operator for our North Chicago, IL facility. The role is onsite and focuses on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and systems within a 12-hour rotating shift.

The candidate will manage distribution, production components, and safety procedures while supporting call-in maintenance and long-term performance tracking. A strong technical background with PLCs and basic computer skills is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-6 years’ of related experience.
• 4th Class Power Engineer NIULPE License Certification or higher.
• 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair plant equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and systems.
• Operate PLC equipment and participate in start-up activities.
• Follow safety programs and lock out/tag out practices.
• Assist and maintain maintenance/work order procedures.
