Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL Gastonia seeks an experienced Plant Controller to lead the finance operations of a $100M facility. The role focuses on profitability, efficiency, and timely financial analysis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment tied to a matrix organization.

The candidate will drive budgeting, forecasting, product costing, and KPI reporting, leveraging SAP and Power BI to deliver strategic insights to plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years' relevant work experience in finance for manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience in a fast-paced, matrix organizational structure.
• MBA / Master's degree and professional certifications preferred.
• SAP ERP experience and strong Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial activities for month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, P&L analysis, variance analysis, and SAP/Power BI reporting.
• Develop counteraction plans to improve financial performance when deviations occur.
• Participate in SQDC meetings with plant team to meet financial targets.
• Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Manage product costing, cost center planning, internal orders, tariffs, and SAP product cost development.
