Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract position based in Tewksbury, MA. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper storage and transport of samples. You will also handle patient information updates and assist with lab result inquiries.

Requirements include 6+ months' experience with pediatric and geriatric patients in clinical settings; phlebotomy certification is preferred. The role offers a $25.00/hr pay rate and fully onsite work.

Formación

• 6+ months of experience working with Pediatrics & geriatrics in hospital/clinic/lab is mandatory.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results
