Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Middletown, NJ. You will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure proper storage and transport of samples while interacting with hospital and clinic teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of pediatrics/geriatrics experience; a phlebotomy certification is preferred, and onsite work is required. This position offers a stable hourly rate and comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience with pediatrics and geriatrics in hospital/clinic/lab.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results
