Job summary

Value Apothecaries Inc is launching a new on-site pharmacy in Sterling, IL. This role focuses on building patient profiles, processing prescriptions, and resolving insurance issues in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The position requires at least two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience; a PTCB or equivalent certification is required, with a preferred Bachelor's degree. State certification is acceptable if core competencies meet national standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years directly related ambulatory pharmacy experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; national certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create patient profiles in the pharmacy information system.
• Enter prescription plan information for processing and adjudication.
• Enter all new patient prescription information into the system.
• Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues with providers, patients and pharmacists.
• Assist with reviews and adjudicated prescription claims for reimbursement and follow up as needed.
• Provide information for therapeutic consults with patients.
• Intervene with Pharmacy Benefit Manager Companies to resolve adjudication issues.
