Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma and 3+ years in inventory control or purchasing, or equivalent experience.
• Active professional license or certification as a Pharmacy Technician per state requirements.
• Experience with inventory and purchasing processes in a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Order drugs and supplies for pharmacy based on established points and directions.
• Ensure items meet customer service, operations, and pricing requirements.
• Use inventory control programs to reach target levels.
• Review daily purchasing needs to maintain uninterrupted product flow.
• Communicate shortages and stock changes in real time and coordinate resolutions.
• Oversee medication recall responses with the pharmacy manager.
• Maintain accuracy of computerized inventory records and perform cycle counts.
• Conduct regular physical inventories and investigate variances.
• Collaborate with accounting to resolve reconciliation issues.
• Develop relationships with wholesalers to optimize ordering.
