Job summary

McKesson seeks a Director of Distribution Operations to lead a high-volume pharmaceutical distribution center in Salt Lake City. You will set operational strategy, drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver safety, quality, and financial performance across multiple shifts.

This role partners with Supply Chain, Transportation, Sales, Finance, and IT, and guides a team of managers to achieve enterprise objectives. Onsite position with 24/7 readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 13+ years of relevant operations, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, and large frontline teams.
• Experience leading multi-shift, high-volume distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated success managing operational metrics, budgets, labor productivity, and service performance.
• Experience driving continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead all distribution center operations, achieving safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Develop and execute operational strategies supporting network goals and growth.
• Foster a safety-first culture with risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with DSCSA, FDA, DEA, and other regulations.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven continuous improvement.
• Improve throughput, inventory accuracy, capacity utilization, and service.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of managers and supervisors.
