Job summary

Catalent is seeking a Process Engineer to lead projects that boost safety, efficiency, quality, and compliance in a high‑volume pharmaceutical manufacturing setting in Winchester, KY. You will oversee capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and new product introductions on site.

The role requires strong technical skills and collaboration across teams to deliver results; 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, with a focus on reliability, maintenance, and process development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• Proficient in English verbal and written communication to convey ideas across teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of Automation Controls and PLCs.
• Ability to work with contractors and apply cGMP principles to project work.
• Fundamental understanding of project management methodologies including budgeting and scheduling.
• Strong organization and communication with engineers, customers, and site leadership.
• Strong documentation skills for business justification and user requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize capital projects to improve site performance and efficiency in safety, cost, and quality.
• Guide the specification and selection of process, utility, and facility equipment.
• Manage asset reliability risks impacting plant operations.
• Develop systems to measure KPIs such as uptime, downtime, scrap, and yield.
• Manage continuous improvement project pipeline and prioritization.
• Communicate technical progress to Business Development and Project Management.
• Ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
• Define and maintain an Asset Maintenance Plan with preventive maintenance and predictive testing.
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and technical personnel.
• Determine equipment to meet customer demand and critical process parameters.
• Support manufacturing during critical process development for scaling to commercial process.
