Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a Payment Recovery Correspondent to analyze and determine corrective actions for properly processing claims across lines of business, using written and telephone communications. This onsite role is based in Topeka and supports recovery of overpayments.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year in Claims or Customer Service, with strong math and communication skills, and familiarity with key systems such as Workday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience in Claims or BCBSKS Customer Service required.
• Strong mathematical accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Audit claims to ensure adherence to processing policies and guidelines.
• Pursue and manage recovery of overpayments and apply recoveries.
• Coordinate between Claims and Finance to ensure proper accounting of refunds and adjustments.
• Generate collection letters for all lines of business.
• Research ACS/CSI and eligibility to identify claims needing adjustments.
