Bronson Methodist Hospital is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to onsite support at Portage. Responsibilities include billing and collecting from third party payers, posting payments, and ensuring compliance with contracts and government regulations.

The role requires strong typing, medical terminology knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Qualified candidates will have a GED or equivalent, an associate degree in business/finance, and experience with Epic applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in business or Finance; or equivalent experience in Medical Billing, Receivables or Collection preferred.
• Successfully pass EUPA's for all Epic applications within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate payment from third party payers through accurate billing and collection.
• Post third party payments and compute correct reimbursement.
• Process incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Maintain knowledge of current contracts and government regulations for multiple entities.
• Verify insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Resolve billing issues up front to promote better reimbursement.
