Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a part-time Registration Clerk to support patient intake. Working 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE) on-site, you will coordinate patient reception, scheduling and data collection for the registration process.

Under supervision you will handle insurance information, ABN processing, and respond to calls with courteous service, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology required within 6 months of date of hire.
• At least 6 months clerical background involving public contact.
• Experience with multi-line telephone systems, PC, printers, copiers and fax machines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient reception, scheduling and registration under supervision.
• Obtain and record all data related to the registration process.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance and third-party payers, ABN process.
• Answer incoming calls with proper etiquette and exemplary customer service.
